Booking up fast

The first few weeks of 2012 have seen a steady flow of bookings for this summer's holiday - and we are now half full! It is great that we will be welcoming back some children from previous years - some accompanied by younger brothers and sisters - and many coming for the first time.  In the past places for girls have filled up much more quickly but this year bookings have been more evenly balanced - so there still places for boys and girls.

Planning for our one week together goes on throughout the year but we are now starting to gear up in a big way and we are very excited about it already. We squeeze in as many as possible by inevitably places are limited. So if you are thinking of coming to One Hundred % this year don't delay...book now!

Looking back...looking forward

As the clocks go back and the leaves fall from the trees, last summer seems a long-distant memory.  But you can revive those memories by watching this video of highlights or browsing through the full catalogue of images from the 2011 One Hundred % holiday.

Meanwhile plans are now well underway for the 2012 holiday.  The dates have been confirmed as Sunday 5th August to Saturday 11th August and the website is being revamped.  The new website will be launched at the end of November and booking opens at the beginning of December.

Day 6

Our last full day at One Hundred % -  and the children still seem to have plenty of energy!  We'll post details of a link to a high resolution copy of the above picture and other camp photos as soon as we have had a chance to sift through them - possibly not until the end of August.

This morning was the final rotation of the Activity Groups.  The final shots were captured for our music video and the editor is busily working on a short snippet to show friends and relatives at the final Full Focus tomorrow.  We'll post a link to the finished version as soon as the editing process has been completed - no later than the end of November.  The construction group made some more wonderful creations to be taken home.  Throughought the week in drama they have been doing various types of dramatic exercises and trying their hand at improvisation.

After lunch there was more time to prepare for the final Full Focus tomorrow.  The musicians had another rehearsal, the dance troupe were put through their paces and the drama cast had a final run through.  Meanwhile the rest of the children had an energetic game of football.

In Full Focus this morning we learnt about how Peter was transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit and how the Holy Spirit gives power to believers today too.  And this evening we looked at the life of Stephen and learnt that God is with us in the tough times as well as good times.  Important lessons for us all to take home from One Hundred %.

After Full Focus tonight, to everyone's delight, there was time to watch the third and final installment of How to Train your Dragon.  And time too to play a final game of Capture the Flag out on the field.

Tomorrow the children will be going home after our Final Full Focus, so this is our final blog for this year.  We hope that everyone has had a happy and memorable time at One Hundred % 2011 - the team has certainly enjoyed looking after such lovely children and we look forward to seeing many back again next summer.
